Chen Yumin Delivers a Keynote Speech at the 26th Global Metals & Mining Conference
On February 28, local time, Chen Yumin, Board Chairman and Secretary of the CPC Committee of Shandong Gold Group, attended the 26th Global Metals& Mining Conference at Miami, the United States, at the invitation of Bank of Montreal and delivered a keynote speech named "Integrating into the Global Mining Market and Achieving Open and Inclusive Development". During the conference, Chen Yumin and his team also held talks with the executives responsible for capital market of Bank of Montreal.
In his speech, Chen Yumin mainly introduced the advantages of Shandong Gold Group in terms of resources, productivity, technology, safety, ecology and corporate culture, focusing on the value idea, international development concept, strategic target of the 13th five-year plan as well as the future growth potential, etc. of Shandong Gold Group. In addition, he shared his view on the future trend of the gold market and its price.
Chen Yumin stressed that Shandong Gold Group is still in its initial international-oriented process, and he sincerely hoped to cooperate with major mining companies and investment companies at all levels on the basis of respecting their respective interests and value choice, seek gold-based mining projects globally, share information technology and digital applications, so as to promote practical cooperation in global mining fields, and benefit all the investors and the local communities with the cooperation results.
After the speech, Chen Yumin also exchanged opinions with international mining counterparts and investors on 2020 development planning, key merger and acquisition region selection, production, cost level and other issues of Shandong Gold Group. His keynote speech attracted the presence of BMO Capital Markets, Barrick Gold, Ivanhoe Mines, Anglo American and a large number of investment fund companies, giving rise to the strong interest of these international investors.
During the period, Chen Yumin and his team also held talks with Daniel • Barclay, head of Capital Market Global Investment and Corporate Banking Department of Bank of Montreal, Ｅigizio•Binchini, co-head of Global Metals and Mining and Ken • Drake, head of Australia in this field respectively. They had an in-depth communication on topics such as international merger and acquisition consulting, overseas capital market operation and market value management of Fox.
The Global Metals & Mining Conference, sponsored and hosted by BMO Capital Markets, is held every two years and 26 sessions have been held up to now, attracting presence of thousands of international mining leaders from nearly 500 companies and institutional investors of 32 countries in 6 continents. Therefore, it is the biggest global metals and mining conference at the highest level, and is considered to be the early "barometer" for international trend of the industry next year.
